How to prepare a T-shirt
Step 1:
In order to produce nice T.YARN, we need to have new seams. With a sewing machine, sew right next to the existing seam,from bottom to top. Choose a small stitch, e.g.
1,2-1,8mm.
Step 2:
With a pair of textile-scissors, make sure you cut off the old seam. Cut precisely between
the new and the old seam.
Step 3:
Cut off the seam at the bottom of the shirt.
Step 1:
With a pair of textile-scissors, cut off the part of the shirt without seams on the sides horizontally. This way it gets separated from the top-part, where the sleeves are attached.
Step 2:
Focus on the bottom-part of the shirt. With the top-part, you can proceed as if it was a shirt with seams on the sides.
Step 3:
Cut off the seam at the bottom of the shirt.
Does it have seams on the sides?
Goal:
Your shirt is supposed to have a new seam on the sides. The old seam, including the sleeves, should be cut off. Go on and proceed with the “infinity-cut”.
Goal:
You are left with a “jersey-tube”,
that has no seams. Congratulations, this is the best material to produce nice, infinite T-YARN. Go on and proceed with the “infinity-cut”.
